There's a mystery to great storytelling. An alchemy, even. All of the elements have to come together, in perfect balance, to bring a story to life. How do the best storytellers do it? Award-winning writer-editors - and longtime collaborators - Amy Wallace and Mary Melton are on a mission to find out. Join them as they talk to every kind of storyteller - from journalists and filmmakers, to chefs and marketers - to deconstruct the art of creating narratives that break through the noise.

In and Out of Empire explores the history of the building that houses the Sirius Arts Centre in Cobh: the former RCYC clubhouse, constructed with the aid of the Smith-Barry family on the site of the visit of Queen Victoria, has been at the centre of a town divided by class and allegiance, one that has a fascinating past both in and out of the British Empire. Commissioned by SIRIUS, In and Out of Empire is produced and presented by Ellie O'Byrne under the direction of Miguel Amado, the director of SIRIUS. Research and production were supported by Cork County Council's Commemorations Grant Scheme 2021and the Heritage Council's Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2022.

Whether you’re in the entertainment industry or not, this is a podcast that will humour, shock, validate and inform. You think you knew what it’s like to be an actor? Think again… The 98% explores what life is really like for the majority of actors and performers who, rather than trying to find an outfit for the Oscar’s, are trying to find an outfit that makes them look as close to an 1850’s aristocrat as possible for an audition in 24 hours. It comes as a surprise to most that only 2% of actors earn their main source of income from acting work. This podcast represents, and gives a voice to, the other 98%. What started as a comedy podcast in 2018, with co-hosts Alexa and Katie laughing and lamenting about the REAL #actorslife, has morphed into a relatable and supportive space through the lens of honesty and realism. By lifting the curtain on things that need changing in the industry, exposing hidden truths, and chatting to brilliant industry professional guests, The 98% is a podcast and platform that works to humanise those in the industry and redefine what success means in n business that, before, only shined a spotlight on the small minority. www.the98percentpod.com @the98percentpod

TALL TALE TV - Sci-Fi and Fantasy Short Stories
TALL TALE TV

Are you a fan of science fiction and fantasy short stories? Do you love getting lost in a good book or audio drama? Tall Tale TV has you covered. With modern fiction from around the world, professionally narrated just for you, Tall Tale TV is your premier destination for bite-size audiobook adventure. My name is Chris Herron, a professional voice actor, and Every Monday and Friday I professionally narrate short stories from around the world. From epic fantasy to space opera, steampunk to urban sci-fi, and everything in between. Most episodes are stand-alone short stories, but I also mix in book excerpts and episodic novels, and novellas for a variety of content. But beyond that, I believe in bringing authors and readers together, which is why each episode includes detailed information about the featured author. In many cases, you'll have the opportunity to connect with them and discover even more of their amazing work. Tall Tale TV was born out of a personal experience. When I went temporarily blind for a year, I turned to audiobooks and audio drama as an escape. Once my sight was restored, I decided to pay it forward and become an audiobook narrator myself. This podcast is my gift back to the community. Don't miss out on this exciting journey of discovery and imagination. Tune in to Tall Tale TV at http://www.TallTaleTV.com and let me take you on a journey you'll never forget.
