I'm pretty sure I've used that Prodigy (of Mobb Deep) song before. Be that as it may, you know what it is: Sheap, Langstaff & #TAFKASHW, as seen on The Project. If you know, you know.

Episode 100. Now it all makes sense.. Don't call it a milestone. S'Hershel and I hung out at the Commercial Hotel on a Sunday afternoon and reflected on things, with podcasting, life and whatever in between. We laughed, we sung and were joined by some random guy named Darryl (Port Kembla copped on). Remember to keep an eye on our Facebook page for when we're having our semi regular Sunday sessions on Wentworth Street; the greatest street there is. "Can I watch the end of the footy?"

I was joined by regular fictional character, S'Hershel Walker, and he brought along his two pals Paul Keys (racking up appearance #2) and someone I've wanted to record with for a long time now, but for legal reasons we'll call him Tragic Johnson. We shot the shit in the beer garden, and even picked up an extra person dressed as William Wallace along the way.

Comic Gong 2017! Sheap, S'Hershel and myself returned to the epicentre of Illawarra fandom for another year running. These are our stories. Special mentions go out to Louise and Fiona for the Co-Production assists, and Lenny for providing the "ambiance" for the first five minutes. Thank-you linesmen, thank-you ball-boys.

We start off on a sad note with this one, Wollongong Hip Hop lost one of it's more colourful characters last week, rest in peace to Rob The Rich as well as condolences to his family and friends.  Afterwards it's the return of S'Hershel Walker, wherein he brought his mate over to my place a few weeks ago. We drank wine, ate garlic bread & spaghetti and talked utter silliness. With a few sneaky songs thrown in for good measure. Spoiler alert: I wasn't the one singing or attempting any music of any kind, never fear.

More Episodes

After an extended break, we're back! On this episode I met up with previous guest Marcelo Baez and newcomer to Pod Kembla, Pat Grant. Both of these fine gentlemen are comics creators, ambassadors, educators and all round great blokes. Another thing they have in common is their superb and iconic poster design; in Marcelo's case in the form of the 3D Comic Gong poster that you may have seen around the traps earlier in the year, and Pat drew this years now infamous Yours & Owls Festival poster that has been plastered up and down the South Coast, even making its way as far as Sydney. They both gracefully agreed to meet me at Kürtõsh down at Globe Lane to talk about their craft, comics and design history as well as a little bit of life spruced in for good measure.

However, most importantly I wanted to talk with Pat about his spectacular book Blue, and the subsequent live reading/performance which is happening at the Arts Precinct in Wollongong on Thursday the 29th of September, as a part of the Yours & Owls Fringe Festival events. We also talked about the fellers current and previous projects, all of which you can find links to below. I suggest you check them all out. You can read Blue for free online, or you can purchase hardcopies online or anywhere quality books are sold. If you find yourself in the Wollongong and surrounding areas next Thursday, I strongly suggest you go along to the live performance of Blue and get yourself a dose of quality home grown artistic edutainment.
