The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, and against these things there is no law. On the other hand, deeds of the flesh includes outbursts of anger. (paraphrase from Galatians) And it's hard to handle that toddler when he loses his cool in the grocery store. I homeschooled. I remember March, and I was tired. From December to May is the longest stretch of the year. The finish line approaches, but you aren't there yet. You need a break, badly. How can you hang in there and finish well? My guest this week was , a veteran homeschool mom. You might inform your children that when they reach a certain spot in the textbook they are finished with that subject. What a great incentive. Moms can also block off a day to work on a home project with another mother. Jennifer had great suggestions.

Valentine's Day is all about romance and romance belongs in marriage. We want to have a great marriage for our kids, but it's also Biblical. Scripture teaches marriage depicts Christ's love for his church. Last week we had a wife who suffered through a tough marriage for many years. This week we have a lady who had a great marriage for almost 49 years. love all things Jewish, and she offered her best marriage tips. She also gave us a history lesson on marriage ceremonies in the time of Christ. Very interesting and useful.

We've all put away our Christmas decorations (or most of us), and the New Year has begun. Now we must dust off those problems that came up during the year, or perhaps tough items we must discuss. info_outlineI've never enjoyed going through clothes. Years ago my mother-in-law gave me a bag of old clothes for the kids in varying sizes and colors. I stuck them in the attic and prayed they would all match when I brought them down in the spring.
Thank goodness my closet door stays closed because my clothes are often a mess.
