Mark 9:14-29 (Pastor William Con) Big Gospel Idea: Weak faith is faith in misery. Faith in Jesus leads to transformation. So many of us run to so many other things rather than Jesus. When life gets hard we abandon prayer, trusting Jesus and relying on God to make our way through life. Instead we turn to in-fighting, frustration and despair. When life gets hard we must continually lean on Jesus rather than ourselves. We must develop a strong faith instead of maintaining a week faith. And that faith must inform our actions.

Mark 9:1-13 (Pastor William) BGI: Look to Jesus, Be Encouraged by the Signs So many of us are wondering if we're on the right path. We continue to look for those comforting signs that we're doing what we are suppose to be doing. Today's sermon focuses on the transfiguration of Jesus on the mountain. It's a incredible experience and Peter suggests they stay there. However, it's not possible. We must not look for the signs and only be encouraged by Jesus. that would be backwards. We must look first, foremost and only to Jesus for our salvation. When he presents us with signs and wonders and...

info_outlineJonah Series Part 2/3 - Pastor William
BGI: God loved us so much, He saved us through Christ dying in our place, was raised from the dead, so we can be raised with him.
We finish off our Easter Series taking a look at how Jonah describes God and looking at the sovereignty of God! Therefore God is:
- Always in control
- Gracious (Giving us what we don't deserve)
- Merciful (Not giving us what we do deserve)
- Slow to Anger (God is meek, not using all his strength on us first time we make a mistake)
- Abounding in Love (Love upon Love, chance after chance)
- Relenting from disaster (A God of second chances)
God cares about us so much more than we do. Jonah 4 shows us 4 ways God loves greater than Jonah does.
- Jonah loved something that wasn't his while God loves his created beings
- Jonah loved something temporal, God loves us who are eternal beings
- Jonah loved a plant, God loved us who are beings made in His image
- Jonah loved one small thing, God so loved the world that He gave his only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
