The Next Chapter with Charlie
My guest today is friend and poet Steve Garnass-Holmes. Steve Garnass-Holmes’s life is rich in thought and in experience. Talking to Steve is like talking to a writer of wisdom literature. Today we will begin the show by addressing the question, “What does it really mean to follow Jesus?” Is it a heart or head issue? The heart says to love while the head becomes laden with thoughts of being right. But there is really only one way to be right and that is To Love. Steve Garnass-Holmes will challenge what you may believe and then encourage you with one simple truth. Let’s find out...

Show Notes Welcome friends to the Next Chapter with Charlie. On a recent blog I wrote the following note… “On my last trip (3 weeks in Asia), I discovered a new mantra for taking time away from home. “I no longer go on vacations to sight-see. Instead, I take pilgrimages to experience wonder.” What if I made that my mantra for every single day? “Anticipate little except moments of surprise and wonder.” And so with this, I chat with author, teacher, and landscape architect, Terry Hershy. LINKS You can find out much more about Terry and his post Sabbath Moment .

“We are taking down empirical Christianity.” Prominent speaker at a recent Conference by the CAC—the Center for Action and Contemplation I disagree! “We are not taking down empirical Christianity; instead, we are offering an alternative for those who have ears to hear. We are offering the Story of Love.” cbh Offering Not Oppositions But Alternatives I don’t see my religious role as one of opposition. I am not a warrior. I am healer. I am a theoretical individual. God has given me a different kind of theology than the one I lived for nearly four decades. I am also not a...

Well Paul… Here we are on April 15, 2020, more than 30 days into some form of quarantine. As we continue to do our shows remotely we will, for the 3rd time, have a “Conversation in Quarantine” with a friend of mine that I haven’t spoken with for some time.
Today my guest is Caitlyn Cogan Doemner. After studying at Oxford University and then receiving an MBA from Biola University, Caitlin co-founded and launched her sales management company in March 2013. In less than three years, they had earned their first million dollars; within 6 years, they had generated over $10M in new revenue for their clients. Their clients now include some of the most prestigious names in the coaching industry, including Deepak Chopra. Caitlin has also published multiple books, including “The Unseen Sales Machine” and “Sell with Heart.”
Caitlyn and I met about ten years ago at company, which I engaged in executive coaching and management development. She was an unusually bright and intuitive young woman at 25 years old, and now ten years later, hers is a most impressive success story.Caitlyn lives in Apple Valley with her husband Michael, their four kids, 1 cat and 17 chickens.
Okay… Paul, it’s time to get Caitlyn Doemner on the line and talk to her in a Conversation in Quarantine.
