The devil cannot rest. We should. Rest is holy. - Rest. Episode 37 show art The devil cannot rest. We should. Rest is holy. - Rest. Episode 37

Faith Journey | Rev. Kenn Blanchard

• In scripture and tradition, the devil is often portrayed as wandering, roaming, seeking whom he may devour. He’s never at peace because he’s cut off from grace. • Restlessness is a symptom of exile. The devil cannot rest because he cannot dwell in love, cannot abide in truth, cannot be still in the presence of God. • His movement is frantic, not purposeful. It’s noise without rhythm. Motion without meaning. • Rest isn’t laziness—it’s obedience. God rested on the seventh day not because He was tired, but to model rhythm, reflection, and reverence. • In Exodus and...

Forgive Yourself and Repent show art Forgive Yourself and Repent

Faith Journey | Rev. Kenn Blanchard

Repent   Have you ever been caught in the act, rightfully accused of something and later forgiven for it but never healed from it internally?  That kind of thinking can influence EVERYTHING.   A righteous God. A holy God.  A God so pure that He will not allow sin in his presence. And the same time, a loving God. A sacrificial father. Who has called me to repentance. And before you say, what have you got to repent for, let me confess to you that I am no different than you in the eyes of God. No matter what you think of me, I got issues. I was unable to figure out what my...

Faith Journey | Rev. Kenn Blanchard

Thanks to Mitch for the prayer last week.   This year I realized some important lessons that have always been present but I was unable to understand.  You may not hear what I am trying to say either but I know you will in time.  If you have an ear, please hear.   the stuff that happens to us from the cradle to the grave not only shows us the presence of God but that we are connected like a piece of fabric to each other.  Our lives are intertwined. Imagine a loom potholder you made in summer camp with those big loops. It was of many colors and the patterns change the...

What Does It Matter? (Ep. 30) show art What Does It Matter? (Ep. 30)

Faith Journey | Rev. Kenn Blanchard

That question echoes straight out of Philippians 1:18, where Paul writes, “But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.” In context, Paul was imprisoned, and some people were preaching Christ with selfish motives—maybe even to stir up trouble for him. But Paul’s response is striking: what matters most is that the message of Christ is going out, regardless of the messenger’s intent. That’s a powerful lens for life—focusing not on ego, reputation, or control, but on purpose...

Faith Journey | Rev. Kenn Blanchard

Acts 2:15 says And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:     The Truth About Dreams and Reality   We all dream of doing better, reaching higher, and following what ignites our souls. But what happens when a dream turns out to be more fantasy than foundation? What if, over time, it proves unprofitable, unsustainable, or even harmful to our well-being?    This question is especially relevant...

2 Corinthians 9

King James Version

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.

10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;

14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.

15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Thanksgiving is an annual tradition in the United States, which since 1863 is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. During Thanksgiving Day families and friends usually gather for a large meal. The Thanksgiving holiday weekend is one of the busiest travel periods of the year in the US, and therefore flights and hotels are very expensive around this time. Thanksgiving is at least four-day weekend vacation for schools and colleges. Most business and government workers are given Thanksgiving and the day after (Black Friday) as paid holidays. As people reunite with friends and family at Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Eve - the night before Thanksgiving - is one of the busiest nights of the year for bars and clubs

About the Rapture:

Since the beginning of Christianity, believers in Jesus have been waiting for His return.The Rapture is an event that comes before the end of the world as we know it, where according to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, the dead in Christ will rise, along with those living that believe into the air.We will just vanish.It won’t make any sense to anyone left.

The absence of multitudes of people, will, of course, be evident on earth. After that it will be a period of seven years of tribulation on earth.  The Anti-Christ will pop up.  Folks will be required to worship him.  More weird things will happen.   Christ will return to the earth with His church, the saints who were raptured (Matthew 24:30, 2 Thessalonians 1:7, 1 Peter 1:13, Revelation 1:7).

Then He will be victorious over His enemies and will reign on the earth for 1,000 years (the millennium) with His saints, the church.
