231 - The Last thoughts on The Age of Grace, Grace be with You

Notes By Steve Jaynes

Ephesians 1:2, 6 & 7 “Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”

Grace be to you.

Ephesians 2:5 – 10 “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

We all have it.

Ephesians 3:2 – 8 “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;”

From Paul to us.

Ephesians 4:7, 29, But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”

We all got all that is and was available. Now we building each other up.

Ephesians 6:24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. <To the Ephesians written from Rome, by Tychicus.”

Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. That is you.

Philippians 1:2 – 10 “Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, 5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: 7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. 8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. 9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; 10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;”

We're all partakers of Paul's grace.

Philippians 4:23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. <To the Philippians written from Rome, by Epaphroditus.>”

The last verse in this chapter ends with “the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.”

Colossians 1:2 – 6 “To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, 5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:”

Since you knew the grace of God. God favor on your life.

Colossians 3:11 – 17 “Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. 12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

We have received God's grace. Now we have grace in your hearts.

Colossians 4:18 The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. <Written from Rome to Colossians by Tychicus and Onesimus.>

Once again the chapter ends with grace be with you.

1 Thessalonians 5:28 “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. <The first epistle to the Thessalonians was written from Athens.>”

1st Thessalonians begins and ends with grace be to you and grace be with you.

2 Thessalonians 1:2 & 12 “Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Once again grace to you.

2 Thessalonians 2:16 “Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,'

Now it's a good hope through grace.

2 Thessalonians 3:18 “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. <The second epistle to the Thessalonians was written from Athens.>”

The chapter ends once again with grace be with you. We should expect God's grace to be upon our lives. God's favor, God's kindness, God's Loving Care, and tender heart for us. We should just be so blessed. Just like what was said to Paul. “My grace is sufficient for you.” God's grace is sufficient for us, hallelujah.

Until the next time we get together, may God bless you abundantly.
