Twitter and Facebook took the unprecedented move to ban the President of the United States from their platforms over the past few days. While we knew it was probably coming, many did not expect it until he left office. The President now has no platform to talk to his followers which has created some other issues.

Many of them flocked to the social media app Parler. Google and Apple both took the step of banning the platform over the weekend. The Parler CEO says Google did not provide them any advanced warning of the action. Apple requested a moderation plan, but the plan that Parler provided was not accepted and the app was banned.

Many were still using the site through web access until Amazon took the step on Saturday to say that they would remove the website from its Amazon Web Services platform. Now, the company is looking into legal action against these Big Tech platforms.

While Jared says that he clearly supports Section 230 and is against violence, the actions by these big tech companies is creating a bigger issue. They are fueling a backlash against Trump supporters, many of who never attended the events at the Capitol, or if they did, did not participate in the violence. Just as Black Lives Matter and Antifa were allowed to say their viewpoints, so should these conservatives.

Then Jared talks about the new move to impeach President Trump. The House is expected to have articles of impeachment introduced on Monday and voted on by Tuesday or Wednesday. The measure is expected to pass the House with a few Republicans supporting the measure. The key comes down to conviction in the Senate.

Sen. Mitch McConnell says that the Senate could not take up the trial until after Biden was in office. Jared shares that does not deter the Democrat's agenda. The goal was not to remove him from office. The Constitution allows for two punishments, one is to remove from office while the other is to prevent from ever holding office again. That's the goal of the Democrats.

Several Republicans look vulnerable to supporting the measure. Many are familiar names, but some are new. Jared talks about those that may choose to support impeachment this time around and how it could impact 2024. Can the Democrats get enough support to convict Trump? The answer is not as clear as it may seem.
