240 – The Throne of Grace

God bless you all in the mighty and Powerful name of our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May God bless you all abundantly. The following are the notes from the latest podcast show “The Throne of Grace”. I have all the scriptures written out so it will be easy for you to follow along.

In this podcast show, we're going to look at some of the aspects of the grace of God as it pertains to staying connected to the Head, Jesus Christ.

John 14:10 – 12 “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. ¹¹ Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. ¹² Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

Jesus Christ was very connected to the Father as we can see from these Scriptures. He says “he that believeth on me, Jesus Christ, shall do the works that he did and greater.” Sometimes we think it should say “He that believeth on me that is a clergyman, elder or your leader. Someone else but me.” But that's not what it says. Jesus Christ said “he that believes and that means every believer. We can see from these verses that believing is very important. Let's look at Mark.

Mark 11:22 – 24 “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. ²³ For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. ²⁴ Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

These verses tell us that we are to believe and not to doubt. Once again it says, whosoever. That means every believer is required to believe. When we pray we command with power.

Looking at the words “this mountain.” I've heard it taught that mountain is talking about big gigantic problems. That makes some sense to me because I've never seen it recorded when anyone asks for a mountain to be moved into the sea. The Crux of it, the understanding of it is that if you needed to you could even move mountains. We have seen records from God's Word of men and women doing many big and fabulous miracles against terrible odds and dangers and still to come out on top.

Mark 9:28 & 29 “And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? ²⁹ And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”

By prayer, meaning we need to stay connected to God. Looking at these words 'this kind' meaning a big problem. Similar to 'this mountain'.

Matthew 17:19 – 21 “Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? ²⁰ And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. ²¹ Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”

2 Corinthians 12:7 – 10 “And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. ⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. ⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”

My grace is sufficient for thee. Not Paul's abilities or talents but the power of Christ within.

2 Corinthians 12:12 “Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.”

2 Corinthians 12:15 “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved”

2 Corinthians 12:19 “Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.”

Paul always did things for their identification and service for others. Even if they didn't appreciate it.

1 Corinthians 15:9 & 10 “For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. ¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

It's by the grace of God that we all are what we are. We all can do the work that Jesus Christ did and greater. We all can go as far as we want to with God. We have the supply, the unlimited Supply. The supply without measure. All available to us by the grace of God. We can have as much as we want and believe for.

Hebrews 4:14 – 16 “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. ¹⁵ For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. ¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

We have the grace to help ourselves and others. Our cry, our passion is, “What can I do for you.” “What can we do for each other.” “What do you need, let me help.”
