Linda Spellman grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago. She earned her MBA and spent years as a successful marketing executive for high-profile national retailers from Southern California to Atlanta. She was known throughout the Direct Marketing Industry, as a well-respected industry event speaker, and was on the advisory board for several industry conferences. She was enjoying a thriving career when a sexual assault changed everything.

A silent survivor of sexual abuse since childhood, Linda’s life began to take a series of unexpected, sometimes devastating, other times remarkable turns. Her journey of self-discovery soon expanded into an exploration into the world of other trauma survivors, their experiences and healing journeys and their gifts.

Linda is now an author, speaker and gifted psychic medium with clients around the world. Her self-described purpose in life is to “give people hope.” In her free time, you can find Linda playing with her big-hearted Sheepadoodle, Griffin in Raleigh, where they currently reside.

Her new book, “Trauma-Inspired” is part memoir, part self-help book, and wholly unique in its approach. Follow the trauma healing journey of one survivor — together with the compelling input of 50 others.

This eye-opening account reveals and explores the raw emotions and lingering effects of trauma, while displaying the incredible resilience of the human spirit as it transforms tragedy into triumph.

Trauma-Inspired blends a step-by-step path to healing, tips and tricks from survivors, and transformational exercises into its powerful narrative. The result is a trauma recovery toolkit for survivors — and those trying to help them heal. And the twist? All 50 of these survivors were inspired by an unexpected gift… an extra-sensory connection.

“Stop. No really, stop. You need to read this book. This isn’t just another trauma survival story. When we have a tragedy we think that’s where we have to stay, but this book shows you another path. Trauma-Inspired is eye-opening, thought-provoking, and enlightening.” — Erin Brockovich, Environmental activist
