Rick Vorndran and VERTIGO
Release Date: 04/22/2014
Rick first cast Rob Matsushita as the stoic, immoral Kauffman in the dark class warfare comedy Please Please Please Love Me. He subsequently directed Rob in the schizophrenic Control Freaks in Love and the historical-martial arts-conspiracy mash-up Michelangelo, Renaissance P.I., which Rob also choreographed. He also acted besides Rob in Joel Gersmann’s phenomenal holiday extravaganza, Nazi Boy. He later moved to New York where he directed Rob’s genteel comedy of manners Orange Murder Suit, as well as assistant produced the high literature-based Boogie of the Planet of the Apes, both for the New York Frigid Festival. Finally, both he and Rob deny to this day that they were ever part of Gersmann’s all-male, heroin-dealer, South Central L.A. adaptation of Anton Checkov’s The Three Sisters.
