On June 30, 1994, Gene Autry's Golden West Broadcasters changed the format of its last remaining radio station. From Easy Listening K-Lite KLIT (seriously, those were the call letters) to Southern California's Album Alternative fm 101.9. The new call letters, KSCA, didn't come for a few weeks yet... This is the transition, starting with a few words from our General Manager Bill Ward, and the first on-air shit, hosted by consultant Dennis Constantine.
