Travel with the 80s Grue-Crew to St. Mary’s College, an all-girls school in Boston (not really Boston, but hey, it’s the movies) for a Lucio Fulci homage to Carrie (1976), with a heavy dose of Patrick (1978) and a dusting of Suspiria (1977). The students and faculty in the school all seem to be sociopaths. The problem is, who do you root for? This Italian-Yugoslavian joint production is not one of Fulci’s best, but it’s certainly watchable, and, as usual, the victims are dispatched with style. Escargots anyone?
