Enjoy Movies!
40 years ago Steve Martin’s movie career was really on the rise. He teamed up for the fourth time with Carl Reiner for the “body swap” comedy All of Me with Lily Tomlin. She plays Edwina Cutwater, a very rich woman who is about to die. Instead of coming to terms with it, she has hired a Swami to put her soul into Terry Hoskins, the daughter of Edwina’s stable master Fred. But in a freak accident, she gets put in Steve Martin’s Roger Cobb instead. Now he has to find the Swami to fix it all. It was a fun concept and holds up today. We look back on it all and talk about why we love it.
Have you seen All of Me? Would you swap your soul into another body? First person that emails me with the subject line, “Back in bowl” will get a special mention on the show. Let us know. Come talk to us in the Discord channel or send us an email to EnjoyStuff@RetroZap.com
