This is good news for those who trust in Jesus and obey his commands. It can be a frightening future for those who are consumed by the addictions and anxieties of life in this world. The frantic and fearful preparing we fall into leading up to Christmas is a parable for this. We rightly prepare for the coming of Jesus when we get free from sinful addictions and anxieties that weigh down our hearts.
