1. The importance of obeying the Lord. (Luke 2:22-24)
1) Obedience involves going WHERE the Lord wants you to go.
2) Obedience involves doing something WHEN the Lord wants you to do it.
3) Obedience involves doing WHAT the Lord wants you to do.
--2 Peter 1:21 the Bible is the written word of God.
We are not obedient to the Lord by accident. You need to read His word to know what He wants us to do and how He wants us to live. He didn't give us the Bible just to know information. He gave it to us to change our lives. You get into the Bible so the Bible can get into you.
2. God keeps His promises; you can trust Him (Luke 2:25-30).
3. Salvation is for people of ALL nations; share the gospel with the people you encounter, because their destiny depends on what they do with Jesus (Luke 2:30-35).
