On February 13, 2024, the Sheridan, Wyoming Police Department faced an unimaginable tragedy when Sgt. Nevada Krinkee was shot and killed while serving his community. Sgt. Krinkee was known for his unwavering dedication and passion for helping others. Before joining the police force, Nevada served with distinction in the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, completing two tours in Afghanistan.
Nevada’s legacy of service extended beyond his military and law enforcement careers. One of his greatest joys was helping children. Nevada left behind a loving wife, Karla, and a 6-month-old daughter, Bella. His dedication to his family and community will never be forgotten.

In honor of Sgt. Krinkee’s memory, the Sheridan Police Department and the Police Protective Association (PPA) have partnered with Weatherby, Inc. to raise funds for a scholarship fund. This fund will provide educational opportunities to students, ensuring a brighter future for our youth.
To raise funds for the scholarship, Weatherby, Inc. has crafted a unique rifle, the Model 307 Alpine MDT Carbon, engraved with Nevada’s name and adorned with the Thin Blue Line. This rifle, chambered in 7mm PRC, is a one-of-a-kind creation designed to honor Nevada’s legacy. This exclusive model hasn't even hit the sales floor yet; it was just released.

To support the scholarship fund, the Muley Fanatic Foundation has offered to help raffle off this beautiful rifle.
