Hurricane Devastation in Jamaica: How We Are Getting Relief Supplies to Churches

In this episode, Jan Milton describes how Operation Renewed Hope began to plan three days in advance of Hurricane Melissa. Then, as soon as ports and airports began to open up, we were ready to send relief supplies. Food, clean-up supplies and construction materials are essential at this time. While yet dark in the early morning hours of the 4th of July, Ken and Cindy were awakened by the sound of “something” hitting their home in Hunt, Texas. They couldn’t imagine what was hitting their house with such fierceness. As they got oriented in the dark they realized that their house was actually moving, floating away from their property and striking debris as it rushed along with flood waters till the house struck a tree and water tower down stream. At that point rescuers on ATV’s got to them and moved them to safety."
The work of Operation Renewed Hope continues in Kerrville, TX after the disastrous flooding in the area.
