First and foremost, we hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend spent with friends and family, celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! The Trucks, ARCA East, and the O’Reilly Series all headed to Rockingham in North Carolina for a packed schedule. info_outlineSo much racing action and content to cover this week that we’re adding an extra episode of Splash of Gas!
Before the IndyCar Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series (O’Reilly Auto Parts Series), and the NASCAR Cup Series rumble in the desert, the ARCA Menards Series gets the action started in Phoenix, Arizona. Thursday night features a combined race between the ARCA Menards Series West and the national ARCA series at Phoenix Raceway.
Drivers like Mason Massey, Hailie Deegan, and Eric Johnson Jr. from the West will go wheel-to-wheel with national series standouts including Andy Jankowiak, Jason Kitzmiller, Bobby Dale Earnhardt, and many more.
We’re also joined by special guest Natalie Decker, driver in the Xfinity/O’Reilly Series. Natalie joins the show to talk about her early racing days in karting and late models across her home state of Wisconsin and the Midwest, her progression through ARCA and the Truck Series, and her move into the Xfinity ranks.
Natalie also opens up about the pressure she faced off the track during her Truck Series years, along with balancing life milestones like getting married and becoming a mother while continuing her racing career. It’s a slightly longer interview than usual, but a really great and honest conversation.
