info_outlineDecember 9th, 2023 - There are two main Marian feast days in Advent for us as we prepare for Christmas. The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is on December 8th and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is on December 12th. The special role of Mary as a mother to be honored was demonstrated by Jesus, and then he gave her to us as a mother to be honored from the cross. God has since used Mary to bring messages to the world. One great example is when she converted south America by visiting Juan Diego in 1531. To this day, her basilica in Mexico City has over the door: "Am I not here, me that am your mother?"
