We are delighted to welcome mum, best-selling author and communications consultant, Caroline Roodhouse to open that Hurt Locker door on her mental health experiences..


In this episode, Caroline describes the challenges they faced when their family suddenly shifted from four to three after losing her husband, Steve to suicide just over six years ago.


She talks openly about how this tragic loss impacted every part of her families life's as well as their relationships with others and why she put this story to paper.


Through this incredible book, Daddy Blackbird, Caroline tells the story behind this tragedy, from the very early days of joyous adventures, through the horror that ensured after Steve’s suicide and into the months and years that followed, where hope and a little blackbird now reside.


This episode is dedicated to the loving memory of Steve and to all who are affected by suicide.
