Bad Faith Media

Here's what we were able to piece together from this week's movie: Long ago, God created a perfect race of angels. And one of the angels was more perfect than any of them. He was so perfect that he was actually the worst one. And he started breaking God's laws, which none of the angels understood because nobody had ever broken them before. The evil angel started a rebellion against God, which God refused to destroy because otherwise it might have led to rebellion. Then God felt lonely so he created a new planet with humans, and it was a perfect paradise, so perfect that it was surprisingly...

Bad Faith Media

Gramps is back! Dan and Ryan dive back into the world of Donald James Parker in order to discuss the cinematic disaster that is In Gramps' Shoes. It's a gripping story about a woman drowning in four thousand dollars of debt, who reconnects with her estranged, Harry Potter-hating father. He changes their lives and shows off his favorite baseball hat. The movie also runs a quick errand to Walmart for a strange assortment of items that have nothing to do with the story, but it's nice to know that someone grabbed potato chips while they were out.

There are some who walk among us, warriors who live by an ancient code, who seem like normal people but whose blood protects them from the venom of cobras. Unfortunately their story remains untold. Instead, this week Dan and Ryan discuss the rapture movie that started it all, and by "all," I mean, all of Dan's anxiety about life and reality. This horror movie from the 70s had a major impact on the Christian film industry, but no matter how significant it may be, Cobra Man will always come first in our hearts.

You loved when Kevin Sorbo got run over at the end of God's Not Dead. You were thrilled when Judge Ernie Hudson "allowed it" in God's Not Dead 2: God's Not Deader. Now, it's time for Dan, Ryan, and Alexa to take on the third installment in the GND franchise: God's Not Dead with a Vengeance, better known as God's Not Dead 3, officially known as God's Not Dead: A Light in the Darkness. Everyone's favorite cool pastor Dave is back, but this time, it is HE who must struggle with doubt as he mourns the loss of his friend. It's a darker, grittier God's Not Dead movie (the deaths are only tragic when it happens to the Christian characters we love). The movie veers away from engaging in direct debate about God's existence or the historical reliability of the gospels, and instead asks the question... why is everyone so mad? Being released in 2018, you might think that there were VERY OBVIOUS EXPLANATIONS for why people might be feeling angry with each other, but this movie isn't here to actually answer the questions it raises. In fact, just stop getting so worked up about it, take this unity candle, and SHUT UP already! And remember to love each other.
