We're back with our 583rd Horror Movie Month! This time we're mixing up the approach and covering a wide range of scary movies for this October; we hope you enjoy the first in this series: The Void (2016)! This Canadian horror movie caught everyone by surprise at Fantastic Fest 2015, flying in so far under the radar it barely qualifies for this metaphor. Despite the low budget, the film demonstrates incredible technical ability and thifty ingenuity. We cover literally every single amount of trivia we could find without making anything up!

2022 was a make or break year for movies. Coming out of the pandemic, theaters weren't sure they were going to make it. Jordan Peele to the rescue - writing and directing Nope, starring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Brandon Perea and single-handedly delivering audiences something truly special. At least, that's what we thought. Clay was not so sure. Tune in for a special Halloween Eve release of NOPE.

X premiered in 2022 to high praise from Critic and Audiences alike. Who knew there are that many people that see the elderly as villains? Anyways, it featured a number of up-and-comers, came-and-wenters, and a couple of hey-i-know-that-guys: Mia Goth, Brittany Snow, Jenna Ortega and Martin Henderson, not to mention Kid Cudi as "Jackson Hole!" Surely, this will be our cleanest, most family friendly episode yet.

We keep our “holiday movie released in the summer” trend going this episode as we review the 1993 Thanksgiving movie Son in Law. Son in Law stars Pauley Shore during his years of fame and box office success. The story revolves around a trip with Becca and Crawl (Shore) from college in LA to a farm in South Dakota. The two say that they are engaged to prevent Becca’s high school boyfriend from proposing. Hijinks ensue and everyone learns some life lessons along the way in the fast paced film.
info_outlineA Christmas Story is one of those special, truly cherished holiday traditions. The movie has to be seen at least once, whether or not by accident. Maybe you're in the waiting room of a hospital (because you were dared to stick your tongue to a metal pole in sub zero weather) or maybe you're passing the time at home (while cleaning your mouth out with soap).
Either way, it's the best movie we could think of to kick off a round of holiday movie episodes this season!
