Home to a mansion on the hill, where Maevis’ mother is believed to be a demonspawn beast known as a Botiskin. The pair began the lonely trek, with Eli doing his best to calm the nerves of the child. Upon reaching the house, Eli took care to approach in darkness, ignoring the lit path to the door. As storm clouds gathered in the west, replacing the setting sun, the door to the mansion opened.
