Ying was the 3rd investment professional hired at Penn State and oversaw all investment activities for the endowment’s Private Equity and Venture Capital over the past six years.Previously, Ying was responsible for leading the endowment’s Global Public Equity portfolio.
Ying has been instrumental in setting up a wide range of in-house sourcing, due diligence and reporting capabilities, adding emerging managers and co-investments to Penn State’s private program. She was recently nominated by Kayo conference series as Top 22 Endowment’s today’s leaders in the NorthEast, and was cover featured as “the Rising Star of Top 30 Endowment” by Trusted Insight in 2017. Ying received her B.S. in E.E. and M.A in Economics from top universities in China and holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
