Release Date: 07/30/2010

[Trailer for Members Show] A lot happened in the Mac world this week!

New iMacs launched, new Mac Pros and Apple Cinema displays announced, as well as a brand new input device - The Apple Magic Trackpad. As well as these announcements, Apple also released Safari 5.0.1 which included the launch of the new official Safari Extensions Gallery. So time for a Mac Montage I think!

This week's show covers a first look at the new Apple Magic Trackpad and some of the new enhanced gestures, not just for the trackpad but also for Apple laptops with multitouch enabled. I also take a look at some third party software that allows you to use the new trackpad for signing electronic documents.

With the introduction of the official Safari Extensions Gallery, Apple have made available many new extensions that install within Safari with a single click. I take a look at installing and using two new extensions - Twitter for Safari and Coda Notes (A great way to annotate and send markups of live websites).

I also take a look at one of the most useful Mac troubleshooting tools - AppleJack. This is a low level suite of applications that allow you to repair your Mac, even in the event of your Mac being unable to load the GUI. Install in advance and when needed, just boot your Mac into single user mode and run AppleJack. This section takes you through the installation and running of AppleJack in auto pilot.

Finally, an extended wrap up section where I explain some of the issues with the new MobileMe CAlendar beta and BusyCal, along with the promised review of the recent ScreenCastsOnline survey on including iPad and iPhone content on the show.

In detail the show covers:

Magic Trackpad
Autograph for Magic Trackpad
Safari Extensions
Twitter Extension for Safari
Coda Notes Extension
AppleJack
