ADULT FRIENDS
Happy Halloween, and so long for now. Season 3 may be delayed into 2020 because I'm working on another project. Thanks for listening!
info_outline 2019 Halloween Part 1ADULT FRIENDS
I had so many ghost stories from guests this year, I had to split up the Halloween episode in to TWO parts! How sweet is that?!
info_outline Luke ZimmermanADULT FRIENDS
Luke is an author, artist, songwriter, and musician. The two of us met a number of years ago, likely at the 400 Bar. We spend a bit of time talking about the late Tom Sullivan. Peace be with you, Tom.
info_outline Ted HeldADULT FRIENDS
This week, we're back to the traditional format of Adult Friends. My good friend Ted and I had a chat about all things under the sun (which explains the run time).
info_outline Adopted Friends 6: Aric McKeownADULT FRIENDS
This Friday (June 7, 2019) at 7:30pm at Strike Theater in Minneapolis, go see the Mustache Rangers perform during the fundraiser for Huge Theater. Aric is also a contributor to another of my favorite improv teams in town, ShowX (Monday nights at Huge Theater).
info_outline Adopted Friends 5: Kate MurrayADULT FRIENDS
Kate and I have run in the same music circles for a number of years (big surprise). Now, Kate and I have both chosen career paths in and around the world of healthcare. Kate's story involves small joys embedded in a web of complicated connections.
info_outline Adopted Friends 4: Jon AllenADULT FRIENDS
Jon and I met more than 10 years ago through Willie's American Guitars, but we just recently connected the dots between our respective adoption stories.
info_outline Adopted Friends 3: Leah OttmanADULT FRIENDS
Leah is a fantastic musician, hilarious, and a great person to have over to your house for a podcast. She also happens to be adopted.
info_outline Adopted Friend 2: Sarah BizekADULT FRIENDS
Sarah and I met during the Minneapolis Fringe Festival in 2006, but we haven't seen much of each other since then. Sarah has a great story... take a listen.
info_outline Adopted Friends 1: Pat TracyADULT FRIENDS
Pat and I were having a discussion among friends at the CC Club a couple months ago, when it came to our attention that both of us are/were/continue-to-be adopted. I've only hung out with Pat on one other occasion, but we had a lovely chat.
info_outlineHaakon Nelson and I took a road trip down to Decorah, IA in the middle of a snowstorm to visit Andy Meyer. After a night on the town, we got to talking, so I recorded it.
I've known Andy since college, but we've become quite close over the last decade. Haakon and I became friends while we were both playing in a band that was preparing for a brief West Coast tour (https://www.cataldomusic.com/). I introduced Andy and Haakon while they were both living in Seattle, and they became fast friends.
The episode ends with a yet-unreleased song titled Statues that I wrote after reflecting on the White Supremacist / Neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, VA in 2017.
