Deep Currents
Do you know who you are in the face of danger? Adam Kavanagh is an Australian survivalist who has dedicated much of the last decade to getting back to basics and living off the land in the remote areas of northern Australia. Initially triggered by a health crisis and then evolving into a way he chose to live, his deep connection to nature has profoundly shaped his understanding of bushcraft and survival skills. Adam was invited to learn and hang out with the Indigenous communities of Doomagee, where he spent nearly five years living solo, aside from the times he spent with the locals....

Michelle Palasia is the first guest on Deep Currents for a very good reason. Deep Currents is all about the stories that connect us and the wisdom that helps us remember who we are and what we are. From my 12 years immersed in Rites of Passage work, I know how babies are born—including the mother’s state, the birth itself, and the care of both mother and baby in the early years—shapes the rest of their lives. In the creation of life, the connection to the core of our Spirit is either nurtured or fractured. This connection is key to our capacity for wholeness, intimacy, relationships,...

After a three-year break from this podcast, it's back. It has a different name, a more refined intention, and is still connected to the art of storytelling. I touch on how currents, vibrations, and resonance are the cause and effect of life itself, taking you on a short journey from the beginning of time. I speak to the power of story and how it has shaped history and our culture. I also discuss how currents, connections, and stories can support us in returning to a deep place of belonging. I share a little about my journey of being smashed into a million pieces by Motherhood and what...

Adam Kavanagh lives like a caveman in outback Australia. He shares how he healed hyperthyroidism, depression and panic attacks when he began living paleo, stipping things back and striping back to the basics. He shares his experience of being on Naked and Afraid (the US reality show) where he was dropped in the middle of Africa with a woman he had never met and had to survive for three weeks.

This episode is vast in its topic and while it begins with the contradictions around some of the principles of psychology, we weave in and out of rabbit holes that most people can relate to including repressed trauma emerging in the *stressful* now of life and toxic bonds in passion relationships.

Today's episode has four different facets of psychology and healing, explored through the life and profession of Dan Kurlapski.
Whilst a physio in a 'past' life, Dan is an NLP(NeuroLinguisticProgramming) Master Practitioner and Trained in Integral Semantic Facilitation. In short - it involves work on how the language we use, both verbal and non-verbal, has a direct connection to the deepest parts of our sub-conscious, where all of our limitations, beliefs and potential to thrive take place.
From Arctic Leadership Wilderness Adventures to running Online Conscious Festivals week one of international lockdown, Dan has a plethora of experience and wisdom in using the very moments that can potentially break us, to stimulate and expand our personal potential.
Dan has travelled the world learning about meditation, developmental psychology, communication and human performance. He believes in connecting the human with their truest expression of self, building their capacity to serve the collective from a healthy, thriving state whilst having a regenerative impact on this planet.
