A relaxed woman is a rich woman. A regulated nervous system is wealth. An asset.
For years I thought once I made more money, I’d finally feel safe and relaxed. I thought hitting those bigger months would be the thing that made me feel grounded, secure, held.
But even when the money was flowing in—I still felt stressed, anxious and on edge.
Waking up at 3 am feeling stressed and anxious. My nervous system was still stuck in survival mode.
Because anxiety isn’t a mindset problem—it’s a sign my body was stuck in fight-or-flight, carrying YEARS of stored stress and survival energy.
My body didn’t know how to feel safe holding more. So no matter how much money I made, it never felt like enough. I was constantly bracing for the other shoe to drop.
I had to untangle the amount of money I made from my sense of safety, worth and relaxation.
I had to learn how to regulate my nervous system and create safety within myself—so that I could relax, open and receive more without needing external circumstances to make me feel safe.
This is why a regulated nervous system is an asset.
Because you can’t always control external factors. You can’t control how much money you make in a given month or how the economy moves—just like you can’t control the stock market.
It’s going to go up and down—but when you’re regulated, you stay solid in the down times.
If you think you’ll only feel safe and relaxed once you have enough money—you’ll suffer every time life contracts or your income dips.
But when you have the tools to regulate your nervous system, you stay steady, grounded and open—no matter what’s happening outside of you.
You don’t spiral. You don’t sabotage. You don’t shrink.
