Badger Bizarre

Wisconsin was home to many towns throughout its history that, for various reasons, simply don't exist anymore. Whether bypassed by the railroad, faded away after a loss of industry, or disbanded by its own residents, the towns have been wiped from the modern-day landscape, some with visible ruins as reminders, and others have literally nothing existing other than stories. Those stories are largely unknown to most people today, but they are no less fascinating because of it. The unique history of Wisconsin is only further enriched when these stories are brought to light, including connections...

Or was something even more nefarious going on? Does the 1973 murder of Tina Davidson, in the same city, leave any clues to who may have committed such horrible crimes. Scott and Mickey discuss...

More Episodes

In episode 25, Scott and Mickey discuss the events of the tumultuous summer of 1987, when violent crime was rampant, and numerous women were abducted and later found dead throughout the state. We focus our attention on the murders of 3 women from the south-central region - Angela Hackl, Barbara Blackstone, and Linda Nachreiner.

When the bodies of these 3 women were found naked and dumped in wooded areas, within weeks of each other, the similar nature of the crimes led many to believe a serial killer was terrorizing the Wisconsin Dells area, abducting young, attractive women and dotting our state with their lifeless bodies.

The crime wave that plagued the state in the summer of 1987 is remembered today as one of the deadliest on record, creating fear and panic in areas that are usually reserved for family fun and waterparks.

Hear about what happened that year, and the controversial aftermath of some of the cases - at least those cases that have been "closed. "

In the beginning banter, Scott and Mickey discuss more about an impending visit to Summerwind Mansion, and Wisconsin again makes a strong showing in another list - this one involving obscure documentaries about paranormal happenings. The Badger State never seems to disappoint!
