Balls In the Gutter: A Fantasy Football Podcast
We return from our holiday break to break down the end of the NFL season. The Ravens and Buccaneers missed out on the playoffs, while the Falcons, Cardinals, Raiders and more are looking for a new head coach. We speculate the future for Tua, Kyler, Geno, and more QBs potentially on the way out. Finally, we celebrate what little fantasy football success we had and look forward to some exciting wild-card playoff games. Sponsor: Twitter: Bluesky: Music: Other Pods: Mind In the Gutter

After a week of questionable calls, more injuries, fights, and both the #1 seeds in the league losing, we are wondering just how much crazier this season can get. We are also nearly completely wiped out of the fantasy playoffs with little hope remaining. I guess we'll just have to enjoy the holidays and look forward to the real NFL playoffs. We will be off next week, but see you in the New Year! Sponsor: Twitter: Bluesky: Music: Other Pods: Mind In the Gutter

The first round of fantasy playoffs can be brutal, just like the NFL season. The playoff picture is getting clearer with more teams getting elminated with the Chiefs, Falcons, Bengals, and Dolphins all getting the door slammed shut on their hopes. We still have some fantasy teams alive after the first round but will luck be on our side going forward? Sponsor: Twitter: Bluesky: Music: Other Pods: Mind In the Gutter

Every top team lost on Thanksgiving/ Black Friday, and now the Eagles, Chiefs, Ravens, and Lions are all struggling. Are we finally willing to believe the Bears, Broncos, Patriots, and Jaguars are for real? Well... maybe not real, but if every team has major flaws, someone still has to win. We are also already losing in some fantasy playoffs, but luckily the main slate is just around the corner. Sponsor: Twitter: Bluesky: Music: Other Pods: Mind In the Gutter

We are 2/3rds into the season and teams are showing who they really are... The AFC is wide open and apparently full of good defenses? The NFC is stacked in the west and primed for an Eagles implosion. When it comes to our teams and fantasy... WELL.... we are doing our best. Go Broncos and Go Raiders (according to Lane) and Go Chiefs (according to Lane's obiligations) and Go Panthers? The Rams don't need our help.... Not everyone survived week 11 in the NFL, with Michael Penix and Aaron Rodgers both getting injured. We also got a Shedeur Sanders sighting and Jacoby Brissett is setting passing records. The Chiefs, Lions, and Ravens are currently outside of the playoff picture, while the Bears, Broncos, and Patriots are division leaders. Needless to say, things are pretty crazy this season, and our fantasy teams are struggling to survive all this chaos but we still managed to make it to the playoffs in the Scott Fish Fishbowl tournament. We're in the do-or-die stretch of the fantasy football season, and we're trying to claw our way into the playoffs. We share our trials and tribulations of trying to keep our teams afloat. We also ponder why we're seeing odd injuries, mental health issues, trying locker rooms, and the craziness of how close the standings are for the NFL in general. We've passed the halfway mark of the NFL Season, and the standings are starting to fall into place. The NFC is as close as it can be from first to eighth place, while the AFC is starting to separate. We saw a few moves at the trade deadline with Jakobi Meyers going to the Jags, Rashid Shaheed going to the Seahawks, and the Jets sending Sauce Gardner to the Colts but getting Adonai Mitchell. We also examine the Seahawks success and figure out what to do with injuries to Jayden Daniels, Tucker Kraft, CJ Stroud, Matthew Golden and others. The second half of the season is just heating up!...

Lane returns after paternity leave in time to do a little trade deadline speculation on whether the Saints could have a fire sale or if Breece Hall might get moved. Our fantasy teams are also struggling to stay afloat between bye weeks and injuries, but we're not out of it yet. Finally, Lane gets to make his picks for who are the contenders and who are just pretenders after missing out a couple of weeks ago. Sponsor: Twitter: Bluesky: Music: Other Pods: Mind In the Gutter
info_outlineWe catch up on some NFL moves since our last episode, like Justin Fields landing with the Steelers, Stefon Diggs getting traded to the Texans, Keenan Allen landing with the Bears, and more. Then we look at how the draft is shaping up and make our predictions about where the QBs will land, if a historic amount of offensive players will be taken in the first round, and if any more big trades could happen.
