Born and raised in Cali, Colombia, Sandra moved to Chicago’s Northwest suburbs with her family as a teenager. She began her career in broadcast journalism in 2006 after graduating from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Spanish. Sandra is also a proud board member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists – Chicago Chapter.
