• “Life carves you into the person you eventually become,” says Berlanga. Overcome obstacles with the knowledge that there is learning in every experience that will guide you on your journey. 

• Use your challenges to your advantage. Approach them with a problem-solving attitude rather than a victim of the challenge. 

• “Don’t let yourself be taken over by these circumstances.”
  “Did my situation bother me? Yes, it affected me. Was it difficult? Extremely. But I made it a point not to stop living, to listen to myself/intuition and do what I needed to do.” 

• Successful entrepreneurs take risks, understand uncertainties, know from the get-go that it will be difficult, and learn the lesson in every "failure".

At only four years old, Jose found himself at death’s door following a devastating accident that left his body covered in third-degree burns. Jose has achieved multimillionaire status four distinct times, in four separate industries: an import/export company for machinery for the Petrochemical industry, investments including a chain of Italian coffee bars, a residential construction company, and lastly, land development & construction. 

Each success was a feat of starting from ground zero and meticulously building his wealth anew. His journey has involved constructing complex business infrastructures, only to lose them to factors beyond his control, such as economic downturns, currency fluctuations, and world financial crises. Alongside his four multimillion-dollar endeavors, there have been countless other businesses, too. 

Despite facing monumental setbacks, Jose has consistently risen from the ashes of lost enterprises, reinventing himself, venturing into new industries with renewed vigor and determination, and found even greater success in each new endeavor.
