Too Awesome to Fail

Pitney & Amelia's Bitchen Boutique

Release Date: 10/03/2025

autumn greenery
Those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly.
- John F. Kennedy

It’s finally October! We hope everyone is getting exactly the autumn weather they hope for. Amelia is still sweating her newly-smaller tits off but things are beginning to cool a bit!

We hope you enjoyed the new episode, number 240, Pick Up the Phone, especially this week’s coven meeting, which was considerably more musical than usual!

Quick October side note:  Even though we will release a podcast episode on October 31st, which is the night of Samhain, we will be discussing Samhain in our next episode, on October 17th, so that you have time to prepare for whatever personal ritual you wish to perform. (As a secular, agnostic witchy type, Amelia finds Samhain to be the one sabbat she can really sink her teeth into. Maybe you feel the same way!)

Get Inspired

As Amelia promised, here’s a link to the song she quoted, Such A Loser by Garfunkel and Oates.

Take Action

A couple great articles full of good First Amendment stuff from the ACLU:

The Perspective Archives, a collection of articles from the Free Speech Center of Middle Tennessee State University.

And if you’d just like to hear someone else talking about the freedom of speech, comedian John Johnson tells it like nobody else. This Kind of Freedom Will Leave You Speechless (jump to about 29 minutes for where he brings Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension into the conversation and gives a great pep talk).

Touch Grass

You don’t necessarily NEED the recipe because you already got it, but this 2-Ingredient Pumpkin Cake Recipe right here gives you some alternatives.

And you know you’re curious about that Chocolate Cake in a Pumpkin Recipe!

One last thought.

Frosting, by Langston Hughes

Freedom
Is just frosting
On somebody else's
Cake –
And so must be
Till we
Learn how to
Bake

We all deserve cake AND freedom,
so get to baking!
