With the announcement that Halo is coming to a Playstation system, I wanted to wax nostalgia about the early days of the Halo franchise, most notably Halo 1 - 3, ODST and Reach. I share the plots of the storylines, talk about the multiplayer modes, and share stories and experiences on what it was like when Halo was the king of the hill in FPS shooters and multiplayer, and how one could argue it was one of the first big video game blockbusters in history. Thanks to my Discord community for sharing their stories and experiences with the early Halo games! Now part of the Hair of the Dogcast...

It's spooky season and on this episode I talk about my favorite ten horror games on the PS2! These aren't in any particular order (except the first one), and admittedly one game on this list I never played, but it needed to be talked about. I talk about Silent Hill, The Suffering, Haunting Ground, and so many more! Enjoy the episode, or don't...I guess I can't tell you what to do... Now part of the Hair of the Dogcast Network! The Commodore 64 has long sat dormat for over 30 years, and now with new ownership comes a brand new piece of hardware to take its place; the Commodore 64 Ultimate. In this episode we go over a brief history and specs of the hardware, and the benefits of being a cheaper home computer in the 1980s, some of its best games, and its demise and resurgence. This year, the company and its many trademarks were purchased by Christian Simpson and a few others, and are now on target to ship a new FPGA hardware called the Commodore 64 Ultimate, that can play up to 10,000 original cartridges on your TV...

I took a road trip to RetroFest Arkansas this past weekend and I share all of my pickups I grabbed there, like the Ratchet and Clank games, Chrono Trigger, and so many more! For news, we talk about an AI light gun for your modern TV that's up for preorder, a Sega Saturn game sold for $8,000, and a is available to play! I talk about my experiences at RetroFest Arkansas (I didn't say it in the episode, but I had a lot of fun!), and even share some advice on what the goings on are at a video game convention, and some tips I learned throughout my experience on how to be prepared and how to...

In this episode I talk about what long standing franchises made a jump from the 2D space to 3D, and nailed it! Some of the games I talk about are Mario, Legend of Zelda, Prince of Persia, and so many more. The mid-90s was a magical time for changes in video games that's for sure. In this week's episode I talk about a loss in the video game collecting community (RIP Billy), a new N64 controller, Sega messing around with Johnny Gioeli and the Video Game Preservation Museum, and upcoming games coming out in October like Dragon Quest and Super Mario Galaxy. I end with personal tales on video game collecting, chasing, hunting, whatever you like to call it and try to provide some context as to why we do what we do, and why it's, kinda fun.
