How did the transformation of Philemon's and Onesimus' hearts lead to radical reconciliation that displayed the glorification of God? Paul says that we are definitively dead to sin and alive in Christ. That sounds good, but, in our lives there are times where sin doesn't seem so dead. This passage helps brings some sense to the difference between justification and sanctification.
