To be discerners of error who flourish in truth:
1. We must fill our minds with truth (Mt 4:4, Ro 12:2)/
When do you fill your mind with God's word?
We do this as individuals and together as God's people (Eph 4:15_;(2 Tim2:2).
2. We must learn to test/submit our beliefs and those of others (even the pastor's) to God's Word (2 Tim 3:16).
In terms of evaluating your own beliefs, a great place to start is to ask others what the way you live reveals about what you actually believe.
