Presented with the Ingenuity Festival of Art and Technology Westfield Insurance Theater at Playhouse Square 1501 Euclid Avenue, Suite 200 Cleveland, OH 44115 (216) 771-4444 Art and technology have always gone hand in hand, since the first pigments were mixed and instruments were engineered to make music. Historically, technologies from the printing press to photography, the phonograph to the computer have impacted the way the arts are created and how they are sent out into the world. Now, more than ever, as technology evolves so quickly, artists must understand how to interact with technology, for both practical and creative reasons. This interactive panel discussion will examine how technology can help artists actualize their vision, assist with their process, and deepen the experience of their viewers and audiences. Moderator: David Moss, co-founder and partner of Boondock Walker Panelists: Don Marinelli, Director of the Entertainment Technology Center, Carnegie Mellon University Lisa Locke, dancer and choreographer, Bill Scheele, owner, Kokoon Gallery
