The Skelton brothers—Andrew, Alexander, and Tanner—went missing on Thanksgiving in 2010 when their father, John Skelton, failed to return them to their mother, Tanya Zuvers. Christa Pike was 18-years-old when she thought her 19-year-old job corps classmate, Colleen Slemmer, was trying to steal her boyfriend, Tadaryl Shipp. Pike spent over 30-minutes beating Colleen with her hands and feet, as well as a box cutter and a meat cleaver. Colleen tried to escape. Shipp caught her so Pike could continue the beating. Pike carved a pentagram into her chest, used the box cutter to slice her throat. Kristen was last seen on the afternoon of June 23, 1997, at the coffee shop where she was working in the Crocker Galleria Mall in San Francisco, California. The then eighteen-year-old had completed her freshman year of college in North Carolina and had recently moved to the San Francisco area to attend summer school at the University of California at Berkeley. She was living in Oakland. She has not been seen or heard from since.
