Why is the CDHA important?
Currently, one in five Pittsburgh residents is food insecure. This means that over 60,000 people in the Pittsburgh Community are struggling to find healthy, culturally appropriate food. In honor of these individuals, we are trying to do our part to combat food insecurity. All of the money raised will be used to provide this population with healthy meals or Chronic Disease Education aiming to reduce or reverse Type II Diabetes.
