In this episode, we discuss one of my favorite mantras/ways of life: the importance of feeling the fear and doing it anyways. I spontaneously applied to give a TEDx talk at age eleven about self-love and inner beauty... and got in! In that quote When I say I live by this quote, I LIVE by this quote. info_outlineGetting comfortable being with yourself is essential. Glennon Doyle's book Untamed delves into how when you're truly bored, left alone with yourself, is when you discover your truest passions. Getting to know yourself allows you to enjoy spending time independently, and really figure out what makes your heart sing. It also allows you to raise your standards, and avoid negative experiences, as a result. Knowing your worth WILL allow you to get to know how amazing you are and will make other people's inevitable opinions fade into the background. You can decrease your anxiety by getting to know how cool you are (because you are!!! and yes I can sense it through the screen), and therefore care MORE about what you think about yourself than what other people think about you. So, not to say that you completely stop caring about others' opinions, just that you value yours more... the way it should be. :) You should be your own biggest fan at the end of the day, because you're the only one who knows yourself the most deeply. So get to know yourself a little more, and learn some tips and tricks I have about being confident in your own skin, despite what other people may think.
