Seems a bit harsh. Anyway, apparently this is a design principle used by the US Navy many decades ago. It essentially means: “don’t make things anymore complex then they need to be.”
I think it’s a great principle for keto too. Make your meals simple. You don’t need to overcomplicate things. Start with vegetables and meat and build your meal up from there. If you buy most of your ingredients from the fresh produce section you don’t need to worry about hidden carbs, additives or other nasties. So remember, keep it simple silly!
