Peace That Transcends All Understanding

I should be broken.

I should be lost.

I should be struggling to carry on.

And yet... PEACE.

In the midst of my greatest tragedy, the unexpected loss of my father, my best friend, my superhero...

God is giving me peace.

And it doesn't make sense.

As Paul states in Philippians 4:7, "the peace of God...transcends all understanding..."

I've been fortunate to know God's Perfect Love.

I've witnessed His Power and Strength.

I've been blessed by His Miracles.

And now, in tragedy, I understand His Peace.

In consuming the Living Water, the Holy Spirit, I have comfort and assurance.

I lack nothing.

I remain full.

And while I will miss my father every day, I know where he is, and I recognize that this is not the end, but rather, only the beginning.

In His Embrace, even death has no sting.

Praise God.
