The Philadelphia Eagles are in the Super Bowl! The Eagles hosted the NFC Championship at the Linc in Philly and destroyed the Minnesota Vikings 38-7. The Eagles are in the Super Bowl!! After the Vikings drove down the field and scored a touchdown, the Eagles didn’t back down. The Offense clicked. The Defense clicked. The Vikings were completely shut down the remaining 55 minutes of the game, and the Eagles went on to score 38 unanswered points in what became a blowout win. The Eagles are in the Super Bowl!!! The fans were so loud in the stadium. In the fourth quarter of the game, it became a...

EaglesFanCast - Views on the Philadelphia Eagles

The NFC Divisional Playoffs at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia had all the markers that the underdog Eagles would be beaten by the Atlanta Falcons at home. The Vegas oddsmakers thought so, the sports analysts thought so. The trouble for all of them, and the Falcons, was the Eagles organization and fans didn’t think so. The Eagles go on to beat the Falcons 15-10 in what was a Defensive struggle throughout. The fans in the stadium were louder than I’ve ever heard them, they stepped up, and believed. Coach Doug Pederson worked up a game plan that worked. Nick Foles did what Nick Foles...

EaglesFanCast - Views on the Philadelphia Eagles

Here we go, the playoffs. Home game. The Atlanta Falcons. The Eagles fans will be ready in Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles are the underdogs? Yes, yes they are. For the first time in recent memory, the number one seed in the NFC, playing at home, are the underdogs. This underlines the fact that no other team, right now, respects the Eagles, or what they have done this season. The rest of the league now believes that the Eagles were no more than our injured quarterback Carson Wentz. They forget that the Eagles Defense was 4th in the league in total yards per game, 1st in the league in total...

EaglesFanCast - Views on the Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles finish out the regular season with a 6-0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, marking the Eagles first loss both at home this season, and first loss against an NFC East team. What does this mean? Nothing! They finish the season 13-3, made the playoffs, clinched a first round BYE, are the number one seed in the NFC, and have home field throughout the playoffs. This was a season unlike we’ve had since 2004, where the Birds had some notable injuries as well. The Eagles play their first playoff game in two weeks at home. Nick Foles has struggled the last couple games, and that is...

EaglesFanCast - Views on the Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Oakland Raiders in an ugly game in a cold Philly. Eagles clinch the number one seed in the NFC with the win and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. So how do we feel? Anything but jubilant. We feel cautious, nervous, scared, irritated, and, well, pessimistic. The Defense, while essentially winning the game, allowed big plays and executed poor tackling at times. And on Offense? Nick Foles was not the same player that he was the week before against the Giants. He got into trouble where he didn’t need to be, and was inaccurate on passes way more often...

EaglesFanCast - Views on the Philadelphia Eagles

Ladies and gentlemen, the Philadelphia Eagles have clinched a first round BYE, and get to host the Divisional round! That was the good news of the win over the New York Giants. The bad news is the Eagles Defense allowed almost 500 yards from Eli Manning and the Giants Offense, considered one of the worst Offenses in the league. There is concern, and the rest of the league’s analysts see a big concern. We see more of a Defense that was on its third road game, coming off two tough opponents in the Seahawks and Rams. We do expect the players and coaches to recover back to the very strong level...

EaglesFanCast - Views on the Philadelphia Eagles

Talk about an up and down Sunday of football. The Philadelphia Eagles enter their second road game on the west coast after losing the previous week to the Seattle Seahawks. The Los Angeles Rams, helmed by quarterback Jared Goff had a 9-3 record and poised for their run at the playoffs, with a lot to play for. Play they did, and so did the Eagles in a brawl of a football game, with ultimately the Eagles besting the Rams 43-35, and clinching the NFC East. A time for celebration! But wait, there’s more! Unfortunately among the celebration was the realization that potential MVP quarterback...

The Eagles travel from Philadelphia down to Baltimore to take on the Ravens in one of the last games of the year. A game that didn’t make much of a difference in the season, as the Eagles were just about eliminated from a playoff spot (but not entirely).

The climax of the game easily was the end of the game where quarterback Carson Wentz drove the offense down the field, behind in the score, and scored a touchdown with only 40 seconds left on the clock. This brought the Eagles within one point, down 27-26. In a controversial call, coach Doug Pederson decided to go for the win on a 2-point conversion. The Wentz pass was batted down at the line of scrimmage, falling short of the intended receiver, and the Ravens players celebrated the win. There has been much conversation among fans and analysts as to whether the Birds kicked the extra point for the tie, or gone for the win with the conversion. We talked about both sides of the decision, which ultimately gave the Eagles their ninth loss of the season, and their fifth in a row.

Next the Eagles host the New York Giants on Thursday, and could play the spoiler to the Giants playoff hopes. We also get to see Lane Johnson come back from his ten game suspension.

We also congratulate both Fletcher Cox and Jason Peters for being voted into the Pro Bowl.

With only two games left on the season, we have seen good things to look forward to.

On behalf of Todd, Steve, and Chuck, we wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season, no matter how, or if, you celebrate.
