Endless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 202 I sit down with my friend and former Professor Marcus Buchecha Almeida. I trained under Buchecha from 2011-2013 and remain a teammate under the Checkmat banner to this day. We go all the back to the beginning of how Marcus found jiu jitsu and the long and arduous process of how he became an elite competitor. He went from wanting to quit jiu jitsu for having so many bad performances at competitions to becoming the most decorated jiu jitsu athlete of all time! Being part of the team and witnessing Buchecha’s meteoric rise to superstardom is something I will cherish for life....
info_outline EE 201: Life at Full Draw with the Founders of North Idaho ArcheryEndless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 201 I sit down with Austin Johnson and John Fontaine from North Idaho Archery. I love this story because it’s a tale of striving for something bigger and pursuing your passions. Both men are combat veterans and former police officers. They were inspired by my story of building a new career path post law enforcement and wanted to pursue their passion for archery as a viable career. They left behind the security of a paycheck and benefits and embarked into the unknown as new entrepreneurs with one mission in mind, enrich our community through our passion for archery. Law enforcement...
info_outline EE 200: Helping Veterans Transition into the Civilian Workforce with Kirk DavisEndless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 200 I sit down with Kirk Davis. Kirk is part of an organization titled the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Puget Sound (or CAMPS). One of CAMPS main missions is assisting veterans in the transition from active duty to civilian life by assisting them in finding employment inside of the civilian workforce within the manufacturing industry. It’s an honorable mission and a valuable resource for veterans, so I jumped at the chance to have him on the show. We discussed his program in detail, but then discuss many other aspects of leadership, teamwork, professional development so much...
info_outline EE 199: A New Beginning for Washington State Pt. 1 with Semi BirdEndless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 199 I sit down with Semi Bird! I really loved this short episode getting to know Semi. We’ve already agreed we need 10 more hours together and I’m happy to oblige, so this is being released as part 1! We didn’t dive too deep into policy and his specific strategies he’ll be implementing as governor as I wanted the initial part of our conversation to simply be about getting to know him as a person. I enjoyed this brief but powerful conversation with Semi and already looking forward to recording our follow-up episodes soon! Please enjoy episode 199 of the Endless Endeavor...
info_outline EE 198: Another Round of Informed but Not Consumed!Endless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 198 we do another solocast. We do another round of informed but not consumed. There is no shortage of craziness sweeping across this country and it’s always important to shine a spotlight on some of these issues. We talk about them, highlight the shortcomings and then, as always, talk about how we can be part of the solution and never part of the problem. Always an asset never a liability, but it seems no matter how hard we all scream from the mountaintops, that many people will forever choose to keep their head comfortably in the sand! 2024 is just getting started so buckle up!...
info_outline EE 197: Standing Behind Your Morals with Sheriff Adam FortneyEndless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 197 I sit down with former Snohomish County Sheriff Adam Fortney. I’ve looked forward to this episode for quite some time because I believe Adam’s leadership and common-sense approach as sheriff may have dramatically changed the trajectory of my life. He refused to enforce COVID lockdown measures in the county which I live and operate my business. In a time where many small business owners ended up in handcuffs, that wasn’t happening here in Snohomish County, and I want to thank him again for choosing the hard right over the easy wrong. Showing courage in the face of tyranny...
info_outline EE 196: Rites of PassageEndless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 196 we do another solocast. Today’s theme is “Rites of Passage”. In today’s America I believe we are culturally broken. We don’t have much in terms of traditions or rites of passage, yet nearly every single indigenous culture around planet Earth prioritizes a rite of passage as a way of growing into adulthood. Both men and women are subjected to an array of different challenges related to their specific customs and livelihoods that ultimately result in them becoming a celebrated and revered member of society, if they successfully complete the tasks laid out for them. I...
info_outline EE 195: Dealing with Know-it-all Parents as a CoachEndless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 195 we do another solocast! As always, I like to mix it up between guests and solo episodes as it affords me the opportunity to share my thoughts and perspectives with the Endless Endeavor community! Today we take a deep dive into sideline know-it-all parents. We’ve all heard them at our children’s events, and I had to throw one out of my academy for the first time in 10 years! It’s shocking to me that a parent with zero understanding of jiu jitsu or exercise will suddenly become subject matter experts and start berating me like she owns the place! We then tell a couple...
info_outline EE 194: Jiu Jitsu Chronicles Pt. 5 Cops Who TrainEndless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 194 I sit down with Andy Illyn and Marcus Stanley. Both are on my jiu jitsu team and both are active law enforcement. They are both highly valued teammates because they train hard and train often. We talk about how jiu jitsu has improved their lives personally and professionally, as well as the importance of law enforcement implementing grappling into their routine regularly. We then went down a million rabbit holes as always! Please enjoy episode 194 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast. — Connect with Greg’s guests: Marcus Stanley Instagram: Andy Illyn Instagram: ...
info_outline EE 193: Finding Yourself After a Lifetime of Chaos with David ChatmanEndless Endeavor with Greg Anderson
In Episode 193 I sit down with David Chatman. David has one of the craziest stories ever told on the podcast. David was a dude that grew up and lived in utter chaos his entire childhood and adult life. David was surrounded by drugs, criminal behavior and dysfunction since his youth and those same demons his mother battled through his childhood later plagued him as an adult. David is a listener of the show and contacted Tyler Stanaway to undergo a plant medicine ceremony, this podcast is breaking down that entire experience. It’s nothing short of incredible what David experienced and how he...
info_outlineIn Episode 175 we do another solo episode. It’s been a while and I think it’s important to outline some of the current events and share my perspectives. I believe our current political climate is encroaching on WW3. Some wars are absolutely worth fighting and I’m the first to admit that, however I see us continuously being dragged into worldwide conflicts while our own country is collapsing internally. So, at what point is it in our best interests to put ourselves first? I’m personally not comfortable being dragged into another 20-year war, sending our sons and daughters off to die while we just sit back and watch the demise of our own country. I’m not saying I have the best answers, but there are conversations to be had before we are emotionally manipulated into diving into yet another conflict. Please enjoy episode 175 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast.
