Lonely Every Day Until You Try This

Today we’re talking about connection, but really, all the CSCs (Calm, Surrender, Centered, Connected, & Complete) give us the ability to be connected to God and others in a healthy way. You don’t want to have to wait 35 years to ever express your feelings, especially if you’re suppressing resentment—that just looks like lashing out in bitterness.

When you are centered, you are freed up to act in spite of the chaos, to shine like a light, to be whatever God designed you to be. It is important to distinguish within yourself the hard-wired things you can’t change and the caught and taught stuff that can and should be changing as you mature.

Surrender is the quickest route to peace—way more effective than squashing emotions. When we try to control our situation, it just ends up getting us stuck at point A instead of getting us closer to point B. It is possible to have much better self-talk through surrender. We don’t want to be double-minded.

The God who created the universe is giving you instant access through prayer. He pays attention to you. We have a God who listens! You don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders or do wild things to get God’s attention. His ears are ready to listen.
