REAL Siblings, It Ain't Easy

A "What is your Legacy" "Saving your Memories" "The Value of Things" all are triggered by a YouTube video that focused a discussion on "Advertising" Wooden Nickels.  A historian of the Near South Side of Chicago ran across a wooden nickel that belonged to our Grandfather Victor Torsberg.  What follows is a story of memories, family heirlooms, inspiration, conversations and so much more.  We even discuss if today's generation places any value on "things" that we have.  Treasured momentos and rememberances.  Thanks to @onesixfive (real identity unknown) for posting about...

REAL Siblings, It Ain't Easy

There is No Place like Home.  Caleb Reed, Donna's son and Eric's nephew joins us (coerced perhaps) as we discuss the great 2025 Seemann Family Reunion in our Hometown of Lindsey Ohio. Baby Boomer, Gen X and Gen Z (or is it Millenial) talk about the visit, the sights, the smell and the impact that this small town had on our lives.  There is also the poignant acknowledgement and recognition that while you can visit and enjoy the nostalgia, we all agree that none of us could have remained and cannot imagine still residing in the corner of the world. Donna Reed and Eric Seemann are both...

REAL Siblings, It Ain't Easy

Blast from the Past, is a special follow up the hosts conversation, in Episode 67 Season 4 about being a Young Boomer or an Old Gen X.  The siblings talked about their dad Bob Seemann and Eric specifically talked about how his dad was just an old soul. While Bob was a teen and young adult coming of age in the 1950's he cherished old songs, music and that he just didn't like 'Modern Music' and that "Rock & Roll".  Here is the proof in Bob's own voice and speach.  From 1955, Robert A. Seemann while a Junior at Ohio State University (the "THE" didn't come until later years),...

A significant part of the home buying process is the time allocated or afforded to the buyer to select an inspector (or inspectors) of their choice to come in an check out the home.  This independent impartial party and their findings and report are an integral part of the process for the buyers.  As of this recording both of the siblings, have active buyers who are just completing their inspections.  What better time to discuss: Why this is important and How it assists the buyers and their agents in determining to "Walk Away" because of major hidden defects or to negotaiate with the sellers for some items to be serviced and repaired.

Donna Reed and Eric Seemann are both professional real estate agents. Donna lives and works in Tucson Arizona with Keller Williams Southern Arizona while Eric lives and works in San Antonio Texas with Keller Williams Heritage. They are also siblings, and they grew up in a small Northwest Ohio village of Lindsey. Their idyllic small-town childhood laid the foundation for what would become the structure of their lives and careers in real estate. We hope you will join us as we reminisce, reflect, and correlate how our childhood and life in rural Ohio still impacts our dealings with our clients today.
