Episode 155: You Can Already Play Harmonica show art Episode 155: You Can Already Play Harmonica

Rendezvous with Jamie McGlue

Everyone can and should play music. It’s such a natural, beautiful, healing and uplifting way to express one’s humanity and one’s soul. Most people think music is only for certain ‘creative’ types, and while it’s true that some people are better suited to it than others, nonetheless we all have the musical instinct and we all have the musical hunger. Harmonica is the easiest instrument of them all, as one need only blow and draw on it (you know how to breathe, right?) and it will sound good when accompanied by music in the key of that harmonica. The reason is that the harmonica...

Episode 154: The Peaceful Warrior show art Episode 154: The Peaceful Warrior

Rendezvous with Jamie McGlue

As beautifully articulated in Dan Millman’s “The Way of the Peaceful Warrior”, there is a wise balance to be found between the extremes of, on the one hand, ego and emotional overinvolvement in the world, and on the other, solely focusing on oneself and one’s self development and never getting involved in worldly struggles to better the condition of justice on the Earth. We can get the best of both worlds by avoiding exploitation of others (or zealous indignation at such, and inflated self-importance and toxic emotionality in the crusade to stop those baddies; which is another face of...

Episode 150: Why FG/FF/SF/SD Voters Should Spoil Their Votes show art Episode 150: Why FG/FF/SF/SD Voters Should Spoil Their Votes

Rendezvous with Jamie McGlue

Let’s talk about why FG/FF/SF/SD voters too should spoil their votes at the Irish presidential election on 24th October. Simply write NO NO NO on the ballot, or anything else – “Democracy” for instance – and your vote will be counted and shown officially as a percentage under “spoiled votes”. Not voting at all is not counted, but spoiling your vote is a way to express your loyalty to true democratic principle above political games. Independents like Nick Delehanty and Maria Steen had massive popularity but were blocked by the anti-democratic system around presidential election...

Episode 151: How To Make Gaeilge Part Of Daily Life show art Episode 151: How To Make Gaeilge Part Of Daily Life

Rendezvous with Jamie McGlue

I discuss how (and why) I am teaching myself Gaeilge – the Irish language – as well as using it as the primary language with which I communicate with my children. It really is very simple and relatively easy – it just requires you to ENJOY yourself and enjoy Gaeilge. First I lay out the basic framework for how I learn, and then I speak as Gaeilge for a bit on some topics that sprang up spontaneously, but which are near and dear to my heart. Hope you enjoy the episode and may the love of your buried native tongue rise through the dust, ashes and dirt of history to bloom in the radiant...

Episode 148: Mise Éire: My Talk On Episode 148: Mise Éire: My Talk On "Three Steps To Peace"

Rendezvous with Jamie McGlue

This is a talk I gave at the recent Mise Éire festival in Co. Mayo, where I presented the Three Steps To Peace, being my simple framework for how the Irish can ignite a cultural revival that will restore balance and sanity to our individual lives and society as a whole. Step 1 is Awareness, Step 2 is Communication, and Step 3 is Action. Awareness is the key; when a significant minority of the public are relatively wise and aware, only then do the truly gamechanging actions become available for us – and we will take action organically, spontaneously, in ways that right now we may not even be...

Episode 145: Hypocrisy And Mise Éire Festival show art Episode 145: Hypocrisy And Mise Éire Festival

Rendezvous with Jamie McGlue

I go through 10 examples of hypocrisy by those who have attempted to cancel this Irish cultural festival, and succeeded in forcing it to be relocated at the last minute from Leitrim to Mayo. I then also give an overview of what I'll be speaking about at the festival – the Three Steps To Peace – and read a poem from my latest poetry book, which I'll also be sharing at the festival.   Mise Éire tickets: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/miseeire/1705323     My poetry books are available now on Amazon: "Homecoming To A Foreign Land" https://amzn.eu/d/3bC29Lu and "Aye Am:...

Sometimes when I tell people about my core three policies – free speech, fair borders, full sovereignty – I feel just a little self-conscious, because I know many people hearing them will automatically jump to the suspicion of racism, anti-immigrant ideology and hatred. None of these are nice things at all! Hence the tension. And yet these 3 Fs are the true point of balance that all societies require in order to flourish in justice, kindness, love and peace. The truth is that being genuinely open-minded often involves things that seem ignorant or dangerous suddenly revealing themselves to actually be the very opposite. Of course, this is not always the case, and sometimes the thing in question really is objectively negative. But we must always strive to keep an open mind and an open heart, to hear people out and let their views merge with and dance with our own, to see if there is anything new to learn. The present video is directed to those who may feel my positions seem a bit uncomfortable as if secretly hiding some nefarious far-right xenophobia – I hope that by the end of the 15 minutes you will see my point of view and agree that there really are fair points to be made on both sides of these very divisive political issues of speech, immigration and sovereignty, and I hope beyond winning your support I will also have kindled a brighter awareness of the beauty of facing our triggers and potential blind spots, in giving other views a chance. We are all branches on the one tree of Life, and I love every human and every nation; even if above all I love my own family and my own nation. This is natural :) But let us honour the diversity of genes around the world, and the diversity of thoughts, beliefs and feelings.

VOTE JAMIE MCGLUE #1
I am standing as an independent in the 2024 Irish general election for Dublin Bay North. I’m a father, teacher, writer and believer in balance. I’ve watched as the Irish government have gone so rogue that almost nothing surprises us anymore. I am seeking election to the Dáil to be a voice of reason, critical thinking, and conscience to guide Ireland back home to a paradigm of fairness, sanity and healthy tradition. My three core policies are to defend at all cost our Free Speech, Fair Borders and Full Sovereignty. Visit
