Transform Your Birth
Today I am so excited to present to you a wise woman who is well known for her work exploring the inner journey of birth and the rites of passage inherent in all stages of our lives. She highlights the connection between adolescence, matrescence and sagescence (menopause) and how our responses to our monthly cycles will influence our birth process. She shares with us ways we can start to identify and work with what this period of time is inviting us to become, and to meet with the parts of ourselves that show up through pregnancy in order for us to be ready for this magnificent and incredible...

I have always explored the question - what can I do in my classes to help make birth better for my families. Alas - the intention of this podcast is to help you discover this too. When I learnt about this topic, of internal pelvic release, I knew this could make a big difference to helping women during the pushing phase of birth and protecting against birth injury. I reached out to Lo, and she showed me , complete with props, how we can help women release certain muscles and ligaments to create a smoother passage for the baby - and hopefully less pressure for the mother. We also discuss...

Molly was concerned her interview would be boring because nothing went wrong. I reassured her that people need to know that birth can be very straightforward, even a first birth. We can assume that birth is a medical procedure, when in fact it is a state of wellness. Molly shares with us the power of her preparation, the amazing role her partner played and the tools she used to get through the birth. She didn’t experience the sensations as pain, but called them tightenings. An inspiring story that can open our minds to possibilities. Absolutely worth a listen. Links:

During birth, decision making matters! It will have the biggest impact on how things unfold and how you experience your labour. Agreeing to continuous monitoring seems like a good idea, in order to protect the well-being of the baby - but is it really? In this episode we talk to a former Obstetrician Kirsten Small, who completed her PHD on the evidence of continuous monitoring. What she discovered is surprising and well worth a listen. This conversation blew my mind. You will find out more about Kirsten, Links:

Her birth had all the ingredients of a traumatic birth and yet it wasn't traumatic, she calls it transformational. This conversation identifies important elements that help us to get through birth under all circumstances. ...

Ultimately this is a story of deep transformation for the mother, which is a path we are all on when it comes to welcoming these children into the world. Bianca shares such powerful wisdom as a result of her birthing...
info_outlineIn this session I am going to help you to understand a little about how a pregnant brain changes, preparing us for motherhood and to meet the needs of our children. These changes last a lifetime, and are definitely an upgrade of the system.
This information has come from the book by a neuroscientist, Dr Sarah McKay, ‘Baby Brain,’ The surprising neuroscience of how pregnancy and motherhood sculpt our brains and change our minds (for the better).
