info_outlineListen in as Cynthia McConnell, Leafy Beans Coffee, shares how she turned her love of coffee into a thriving small business. As a bonus, she's supporting an indigenous village in Mexico. Cynthia's story is one not to be missed!
Cynthia's brand, Leafy Beans Coffee LLC., was born out of her love for a good cup of coffee. There is nothing quite like a cup of coffee to soothe one’s mind, body, and soul. This love of coffee set her on a quest to find that perfect cup of coffee which led me to the high altitude, rich, organic soil of Chiapas, Mexico. She found the perfect cup of coffee!
Leafy Beans Coffee is cultivated by the indigenous people of Chiapas, Mexico. The same process of planting, growing, watering, and picking the beans in their prime has been passed down from generation to generation. The way the coffee is processed, from washing the beans to roasting the beans, to assure each flavor is just right an art form that is passed on into my coffee. Her coffee is grown in the high altitudes of Tapachula Chiapas, Mexico in volcanic soil. Leafy Beans Coffee is grown organically without the use of pesticides, supports the local community, and is sustainable as any waste products such as the bean peals are recycled.
